Judy Bishop

Born and raised in San Francisco Bay Area, Judy's environmental career began in the 1970's. She was educated at Cal State Hayward and San Diego State University. She founded The ReUse People, a community non-profit, which collects usable building materials for low income housing in California and Mexico. To date, 212,000 tons of construction materials have been diverted from our landfills, and over 1,400 homes have been built. Judy began working at the EcoCenter for Alternative Fuel Education in 2003 as Executive Director, where she has created a successful educational program that has reached nearly 10,000 San Diego County students.

Candace McGovern

Candace was raised in Anaheim CA and has lived in San Diego on and off for the past 8 years. Having graduated with a degree in History from SDSU, she enjoys museums and educating youth. While in college she was a member of various campus groups for equal rights, a cleaner environment and an overall better world. She even spent a few months working for Greenpeace. After graduating she decided to pursue her dream of one day being the Director of a History Museum. She has been teaching at various museums and schools since 2006. She currently teaches at High Tech High and the San Diego Maritime Museum when she is not giving tours at the EcoCenter. In addition to her tour guide skills she has been assisting with all technical aspects at the EcoCenter since August 2007.
